Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host as well as the owner and publisher of The Huffington Post. After moving into England from Greece at the age of 16 and obtaining an MA with a major in Economics from Cambridge University. First foreign-born graduate to serve as president in the famous debating group The Cambridge Union, at age 21 she took over the position. Following her graduation, she was an influential Conservative syndicated journalist. After a few years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current politics. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna gained fame after she decided in 2003 to run as an Independent candidate in the California Recall election to succeed former Governor Davis. Alongside this, she was the leader of a Detroit initiative to encourage vehicles that are fuel efficient. Forbes named her as 12th on its list for the Most Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post on their top 100 list in 2010. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her the president of their media company, which also included additional AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, and Elli the other, both of whom are journalists and consultants in management. Though she was close to her father it was her bond with her mother that shaped her life. As a child she displayed leadership qualities that she's still known for. When she moved to England, she was sixteen to further her studies and was accepted into Girton College Cambridge. She enrolled in Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college and was the third and first female to be elected the president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was conferred. After her graduation, she was an editor of the critic's column and a television host. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing her own novels with his aid.
